Paul Erwin Odenbach

Paul Erwin Odenbach (born August 13, 1924 in The Hague ; † February 10, 2007 in Cologne ) was a German psychiatrist and medical professional .

Life

Paul Erwin Odenbach studied medicine in Heidelberg and Cologne. In 1953 and 1954 he was President of the International Association of Medical Students. He passed the medical state examination in 1955, the doctorate to Dr. med. 1961. Further training as a neurologist took place at the Cologne University Psychiatric Clinic.

From 1966 to 1975 Odenbach was chairman of the Marburger Bund , from 1967 to 1975 a member of the board of the German Medical Association. North Rhine Medical Association, Vice-President of the North Rhine Medical Association from 1969 to 1975 . From 1975 to 1991 he was the managing doctor of the German Medical Association and was entrusted with the department for advanced training and science. From 1989 to 1990 he served as chief executive of the German Medical Association for nine months.
