Gustav Osterwald

Gustav Osterwald (* 1922 in Aligse ; † August 7, 2011 ) was a German ENT doctor and medical professional .

Live and act

Gustav Osterwald did military service from 1940 to 1945 after graduating from the Leibnitz School in Hanover and studied medicine in Berlin, Würzburg and Hamburg from 1942 to 1948. After license to practice medicine and doctorate in 1949, he worked as an employed doctor in the hospital until 1955, until he set up his own practice in Oldenburg as an ear, nose and throat doctor in 1955. Since 1968 he has also been the chief doctor of the ear, nose and throat department of the city clinic in Oldenburg.

From 1977 to 1989 Gustav Osterwald was a member of the board of the Lower Saxony Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, from 1978 to 1990 President of the Lower Saxony Medical Association and from 1979 to 1991 Vice-President of the German Medical Association .
