Herbert Micka

Herbert Micka (born September 4, 1917 in Saarbrücken , † August 9, 2002 in Saarbrücken) was a German doctor and medical adviser . This honorary title was to him by the state government of Saarland awarded.

Life

Micka was the son of a doctor. After graduating from the Ludwigsgymnasium in Saarbrücken, he studied medicine at the universities of Munich , Frankfurt am Main and Heidelberg. His studies were interrupted during the Second World War when he was called up to the medical service . In 1944 he presented his doctoral thesis in Heidelberg with the title A Contribution to the Question of Dormant Gasoedeminfection .

After the end of the war he was established as a specialist in lung and bronchial medicine . From 1962 to 1986 he was President of the Saarland Medical Association and a member of the board of the German Medical Association . From June 1967 acted as chairman of the committee of the German Medical Association "Medical Assistant Professions". He was also one of the co-founders of the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Berufsstandsischer pensioneinrichtungen” (ABV).
