Gerhard Jungmann

Gerhard Jungmann (born April 4, 1910 in Elberfeld , † January 26, 1981 in Bad Salzuflen ) was a German doctor and politician ( NSDAP , CDU ).

Life

After graduation in 1929 at the High School in Elberfeld young man took a degree in medicine at the universities of Munich , Bonn and Kiel on which he in 1934 with the medical state examination and in 1935 with the license to practice medicine and awarded the degree of Dr. med. finished. Then he worked at the gynecological clinic in Osnabrück and at the district hospital in Wernigerode . From May 1, 1933 , he was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 2,729,859) and was also active in the SA in a leading position. In 1938 he worked as a general practitioner in Markoldendorf . From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a medical officer in the Air Force Reserve . Among other things, was from May 19, 1942 to January 31, 1943 group doctor of the IV group of Kampfgeschwader 55 .

Jungmann worked again as a general practitioner after the end of the war and had been active in medical professional organizations and self-governing bodies since 1950. Among other things, he was state chairman of the Association of Doctors in Germany ( Hartmannbund ) in Lower Saxony and a member of the Presidium of the German Medical Association . He was also chairman of the Academy of General Practitioners. He joined the CDU and was from 1952 to 1961 council member of the Markoldendorf community and a member of the district council of Einbeck . From 1956 to 1961 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament and from 1956 to 1959 chairman of the DP / CDU parliamentary group.

He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1972. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the CDU Lower Saxony. From 1961 to 1969 he was deputy chairman of the Bundestag Committee on Health Care, and from 1969 to 1972 of the Bundestag Committee on Youth, Family and Health.
