Bruno Hering

Bruno Hering (born January 17, 1892 ; † October 8, 1974 ) was a German doctor and civil servant.

Live and act

Bruno Hering had been working as a general practitioner in Bayreuth since 1921 . In the First World War he was awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class as a medical officer. From 1927 he was chairman of the Bayreuth Medical and Economic Association, which later became the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians . After 1945 he was involved in rebuilding medical self-government in his home country. The Upper Franconian health insurance company was created through his initiative. In 1945 Hering was the chief physician of Reserve Hospital III in Bayreuth. Until 1967 he was chairman of the district office of Upper Franconia of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Bavaria, until 1970 of the Upper Franconian Medical District Association.

In 1967 he received the Paracelsus Medal of the German Medical Association.
