Lena Ohnesorge , actually Helene Maria Wilhelmine geb. Voss (born July 17, 1898 in Prenzlau ; † August 12, 1987 in Bochum ) was a German politician ( GB / BHE , later CDU ). From 1957 to 1967 she was Minister for Labor, Social Affairs and Displaced Persons of the State of Schleswig-Holstein .
Life and work
After visiting the Lyceum in Prenzlau, which she finished with the teachers exam, Lena Without concern was 1918, the High School in Szczecin . She then completed a degree in medicine in Berlin , Marburg , Würzburg , Greifswald and Kiel , which she completed in 1923 with the state examination . In 1923 she received her doctorate as Dr. med. at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel with the thesis on the epidemiology of parotitis epidemica . She then worked as a hospital doctor in Prenzlau and Berlin. In 1925 she established herself as a general practitioner in Prenzlau. In 1945 she fled the Soviet occupation zone and opened a practice in Lübeck. From 1965 to 1973, Dr. Lena Ohnesorge President of the German Medical Association . In 1974 she received the Paracelsus Medal of the German medical profession and the Federal Cross of Merit with a star and shoulder ribbon.
Lena Ohnesorge was widowed and had five children.
Political party
From 1950 to 1958 she belonged to the All-German Block / Federation of Expellees and Disenfranchised. In 1959 she became a member of the CDU.
MPs
From 1950 to 1958 Lena Ohnesorge was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein for the first time . From 1950 to 1958 she was a member of the board of the GB / BHE parliamentary group. From 1950 to 1954 and from 1955 to 1957 she was also chair of the Health Care Committee. After she resigned from the GB / BHE, she also left the GB / BHE parliamentary group on September 20, 1958 and was a non-attached member of the state parliament for one month until the end of the election period .
From 1962 to 1967 Lena Ohnsorge was again a member of the state parliament, this time as a member of the CDU parliamentary group.
Lena Ohnesorge entered the state parliament in 1950 and 1954 via the state list and in 1962 as a directly elected member of the Lübeck-Mitte constituency .
Public offices
On October 21, 1957, she was appointed Minister for Labor, Social Affairs and Displaced Persons to the state government of Schleswig-Holstein led by Prime Minister Kai-Uwe von Hassel . In this office she also belonged to the cabinet headed by Helmut Lemke from 1962 . After the state elections in 1967, she left the government on May 3, 1967.
