Georg Leowald (* 1908 in Düsseldorf; † 1969 ) was a German architect and furniture designer in the traditions of the Bauhaus and the German Werkbund .
Life
Georg Leowald came from southern Germany and came to Berlin after completing his training . From 1947 he worked as a teacher at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin . In addition, Leowald continued to design furniture and buildings. In 1950 Leowald won first prize in a competition at the New York Museum of Modern Art for his chair design.

- 1940s: Production and administration building of the Hydroment plant in Berlin-Lichtenberg (today Berlin-Rummelsburg )
- 1959–1961: Boiler house, production hall, open-air storage hall for the Wilkhahn furniture factory in Bad Münder
