Georg Müller-Juergens

Georg Müller-Jürgens , actually Georg Müller (born May 4, 1883 in Dresden ; † October 28, 1971 ) was a German lawyer, mayor of Jever and senior church councilor.

Life

He was the son of the high school teacher and high school supervisor Georg Gottfried Müller and Auguste Jürgens from Jever. Since 1935 he has been using the name Müller-Jürgens.

He studied law, was awarded a Dr. jur. and was mayor of the city of Jever from 1919 to 1935. In 1932 he joined the NSDAP . On February 25, 1935 he was elected full-time legal member of the Upper Church Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oldenburg and held this office until June 9, 1945, when he was dismissed at his own request with "pension-like alliment payments" due to his membership in the NSDAP .

In addition, he researched and published on the Vasa Sacra of the Oldenburger Land and Ostfriesland.
