Georg Maier (sports official)
Georg Maier (* 1898 in Munich , † 1975 in Grafrath ) was a German sports official.
Career
After the end of World War II, Maier was one of the founders of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) and its president from 1945 to 1953. On his initiative, an association-owned sports school was set up in Grünwald together with the Bavarian Football Association , which was inaugurated in September 1950.
