Georg Paczulla

Georg Paczulla (born January 2, 1927 in Carmerau ; † August 4, 1971 ) was a German SED functionary and a functionary of the FDJ .

Life

After attending school, the working-class son Paczulla completed a commercial apprenticeship. On April 20, 1944, like many Hitler Youths born in 1926 and 1927, he was accepted into the NSDAP . In 1944 he took part in the Second World War and was taken prisoner by the Soviets .

After his return he became a member of the SED and joined the FDJ. From 1953 to 1960 he was first secretary of the FDJ district leadership in Schwerin , from 1959 to 1963 he was a member of the central council of the FDJ. From 1953 he was a member of the SED district leadership in Schwerin. He attended the SED party college with a degree in social science. From 1962 to 1971 he worked as a department head in the SED district leadership in Schwerin, responsible for party organs. From 1954 to 1963 he was also a member of the Schwerin District Assembly .

Paczulla was awarded the GDR Medal of Merit.
