Georg Pischitz

Georg Pischitz (born April 24, 1861 in Hundsheim , Lower Austria ; † May 15, 1940 in Linz , Upper Austria ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ).

Life

Georg Pischitz struck by visiting the economics and business school first a military career, and was so 1881-1895 accounting officer in the Train - Regiment I in Linz. In 1895 he became an employee of the Imperial and Royal State Railways . In 1919 he was appointed official . In 1902 Pischitz was one of the founding members of the Transport Association of Christian Railway Workers, the first Christian-social trade union movement in Upper Austria.

In 1909 Pischitz moved to the Upper Austrian Landtag as a member of parliament , and from 1918 to 1919 he was also a brief member of the Linz municipal council .

In March 1919 he became a member of the Constituent National Assembly of German Austria and in November 1920 a member of the National Council . After leaving parliament in November 1923, he was elected mayor of Grünau im Almtal in 1924 . He worked in this function until 1929.
