Georg Pranckh (politician, 1952)

Georg Pranckh (born February 17, 1952 in Friesach ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and farmer. In 1994 Pranckh was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Georg Pranckh came from the old Styrian noble family von Pranckh . He was born as one of five children of the large landowners Georg Pranckh and Sofie Giselbrecht. After compulsory schooling, he attended the Federal Higher Education Institute for Alpine Agriculture in Raumberg and, after a two-year stay abroad, worked as an agricultural tenant between 1970 and 1972. In 1992 he took over his parents' business in Pux.

Politically, Pranckh was active as a councilor in Frojach-Katsch from 1990 , and he was also a member of the regional chamber for agriculture and forestry in Styria. Between July 7, 1994 and November 6, 1994 Pranckh represented the FPÖ as a member of the National Council.
