Georg pillory
Georg Pranger (called "Prangerl"; * 1745 ; † November 6, 1820 in Munich ) was the last court jester in the Munich residence . He was a violin player by profession and a member of the orchestra of the Bavarian residence.
Commemoration
Pranger's grave is located in Munich's Old South Cemetery . The simple tombstone is decorated with a relief with a violin and violin bow and bears the inscription:
- PRANGERL / MUSICIANS AND / POPULAR / ELECTORAL / HOFNARR
On the central vault of Karlstor in Munich, one of four stone sculptures depicts Georg Pranger.
