Vyacheslav Alexejewitsch Golubzow ( Russian: Вячеслав Алексеевич Голубцов ; born April 10, 1894 in Nizhny Novgorod ; † October 18, 1972 in Moscow ) was a Russian scientist and specialist in the field of thermal engineering .

biography

Vyacheslav Alexeyevich Golubtsov was born on April 10 (March 29 in the old style ) 1894 in Nizhny Novgorod in the family of a teacher. He was a brother of Valeria Golubzowas, the wife of the Soviet statesman Georgi Maximilianowitsch Malenkow .

From 1913 to 1915 he worked in Pavlovsky Posad as a mechanic and technician in the Elektrogorsk power plant, which was one of the first power plants in Russia. From 1915 to 1918 he served in the Imperial Russian Army . In the years 1918–1922 he worked again in the Elektrogorsk power station: first as assistant to the head of the electricity department, then as assistant to the head of the power station.

In 1925, Golubtsov graduated from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute with a degree in power plant engineering . He had been a member of the CPSU since 1931 . Until 1937 he worked in leading positions in the construction and operation of power plants in Leningrad , Volkhovstroj, Kashira , Chelyabinsk , Dneprodzerzhinsk and other cities. In the years 1931–1933 he was chief engineer and deputy managing director of Mosenergo . From 1937 he became deputy chief engineer of Glavenergo; 1939-1945 he was deputy head of the technical department of the People's Commissariat for Power Plants of the USSR.

From 1944 he worked at the Moscow Energy Institute and in 1945 became a professor. He taught in the boiler systems department. In 1947 he organized and headed the department for water and fuel technology until 1964. Since 1964 he was professor advisor to the MEI.

He was a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1953) and Stalin Prize winner of the III. Degree (1950).

He died in Moscow on October 18, 1972.
