Georg Stöhr

Georg Stöhr (born May 21, 1885 - March 31, 1977 ) was a German fencer. He fought for FC Offenbach and took part in the Olympic Games in 1908 and 1912 .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 he took part in the sword and saber singles, but was eliminated in both weapons in the first round. In 1912 he entered Stockholm only with the saber and advanced into the second of four rounds, where he was eliminated as the fifth of his round. With the saber team he took seventh place out of a total of eleven participating nations.

At the German Championships in 1913 Stöhr was second with the sword. In 1909 Stöhr won a saber tournament in Frankfurt, in 1913 he came second with the foil at the anniversary tournament of TV Offenbach. With FC Offenbach, Stöhr fought in 1923 at a tournament with Dutch participation, the first international competition for FC Offenbach since the First World War. After the fencing after the Second World War by the Allied Control Council was again allowed Stöhr was in the absence of proper fencing master one of the champion of the association.
