Georg Züblin

Georg Züblin (born June 9, 1904 in Zurich , † June 30, 1977 in Männedorf ) was a Swiss corps commander .

Career

He was a son of the lawyer and Colonel Brigadier Anton Züblin and his wife Constance, nee. Wittwer, as well as the older brother of Albert Züblin . After graduating from a high school in Zurich, he studied law in Zurich and Berlin from 1923. In 1927 he received his doctorate with a thesis on false advertising and the offense of accepting unauthorized foreign military service under Swiss law . He then worked as a lawyer for three years. In 1931 he became an infantry instruction officer and in 1935 a general staff officer . In the same year he attended the Paris military school École supérieure de guerre . From 1947 to 1949 he was in command of theCentral schools . From 1951 to 1956 he commanded Mountain Division 9 and in 1957 became Chief of Arms of the Mechanized and Light Forces. From 1958 to 1967 he was in command of Mountain Army Corps 3 . He wrote military science papers and was a lecturer at the ETH Zurich .

He was with Huberta Anna Maria, geb. Simon, married.
