George Beijers
George Beijers ( December 3, 1895 - June 3, 1978 ) was a Dutch football player .
The striker played for VOC Rotterdam and was allowed to appear in the Dutch national team's orange jersey on August 24, 1919 . In this match he stood next to Dé Kessler and Wout Buitenweg in the attack; in the 1: 4 defeat in the friendly against Sweden in Stockholm , however, only Buitenweg could overcome the Swedish goalkeeper. In the game against Norway in Kristiania a week later , he just sat on the bench, after which his international career was over.
