The VOC ( Volharding Olympia Combinatie , German "Endurance-Olympia Combination") is a cricket and football club in the second largest Dutch city of Rotterdam , in the province of Zuid-Holland . The club has around 1,500 members, around 170 of whom play cricket. The home venue is the Hazelaarweg sports park in Hillegersberg- Schiebroek.
history
The VOC was created on January 1, 1904 through the merger of the two associations RC & VV Volharding, founded on January 1, 1895, and RV & CV Olympia, founded on May 23, 1885. The founding date of Volharding was agreed as the official founding date of the new association.
The home games are played on the club's own premises on Hazelaarweg in Hillegersberg-Schiebroek.
Soccer
The VOC currently has 14 senior teams, the most successful of which plays in the Sunday division of the 5th division . The club has around 50 teams in the youth sector. All of this makes it one of the biggest clubs in Rotterdam.
Twice, in the 1904/05 season against HBS Den Haag II and in the 1906/07 season against VUC Den Haag , the VOC won the Dutch KNVB Cup .

The VOC has six men's senior teams, one veteran team and one women's team, each of which play in the top Dutch class . The club has been eleven times Dutch cricket champion, most recently in 2018.
In 2019, the VOC also took part as Dutch representative in the first European Cricket League in La Manga , an international T10 tournament for European champions, and was able to finish the inauguration event in the final against SG Findorff as the winner. The first team is trained by Christopher Smith .
