George Datoru (born May 25, 1977 in Port Harcourt ) is a Nigerian football player with Austrian citizenship.

Career

Datoru began his career in the youth team of his home club Port Harcourt Sharks. In 1997 he went to Austria and signed a contract with VfB Admira Wacker Mödling . After a short stay at SK Vorwärts Steyr in 1998, he went to Wiener Austria in the same year , where he also took on Austrian citizenship.

From 2002 to 2004 Datoru played in Pasching . In 2004 he switched to Skoda Xanthi in Greece with the help of the Austrian passport . After only one season he went to Cyprus for a half season , where he was under contract with AEK Larnaka. In 2005 he went to Israel , where he was or is under contract with Hapoel Beer-Sheva and currently with Hapoel Ramat Gan.

Internationally, Datoru played twice for the Nigerian national soccer team .
