The Maccabi Ahi Nazareth FC ( Hebrew מועדון כדורגל מכבי אחי נצרת Moadon Kaduregel Maccabi Ahi Natzrat ) is an Israeli football club in the city of Nazareth in the north of the country .
history
The Arab-Israeli club was founded in 1967 and made it into the highest Israeli league Ligat ha'Al for the first time in the 2002/03 season together with the also Arab club FC Bnei Sachnin , but rose again immediately. After a temporary crash in the third division Maccabi managed the turnaround and rose again in the first division in 2009. Since the 2010/11 season, Maccabi has played in the Liga Leumit , the second highest division.
