George John Dasch
George John Dasch (born February 7, 1903 in Speyer , † 1992 in Ludwigshafen ) was a German agent who landed on US soil as part of Operation Pastorius during World War II .
He helped destroy Nazi Germany's espionage program in the United States by defiling to the FBI ; nevertheless, he was sentenced to thirty years in prison for treason and espionage. In April 1948 he was pardoned and deported to the American zone of occupied Germany.
