George Kerr (judoka)
George Kerr , CBE (* 24. August 1937 ) is a former British judoka and functionary .
Kerr won the title in the weight class up to 80 kg at the European Judo Championships in Rotterdam in 1957 . At the European Judo Championships from 1962 to 1967, he won four medals for the United Kingdom.
He is one of the few non- Japanese who has the 10th Dan , the second British after Charles Palmer . Kerr was one of the coaches of the Austrian double Olympic champion Peter Seisenbacher . In 2001 he was elected President of the British Judo Federation. Kerr is Scottish and lives in Edinburgh.
