George Philbrook
George Philbrook ( George Warren Philbrook ; born October 10, 1884 in Sierra Valley , California , † March 25, 1964 in Vancouver , Washington ) was an American athlete .
At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912, he was fifth in the shot put and seventh in the discus throw . In the decathlon he gave up after nine disciplines.
George Philbrook was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame . From 1929 to 1931 he coached the American football team at the University of Nevada, Reno .
