George Reuchlin

Jonkheer Johan George Reuchlin (born January 19, 1938 in Utrecht ) is a Dutch writer .

Career

Reuchlin is the son of Jonkheer Henri Reuchlin and Johanna Helena Jacoba Lichtenbelt. His father was the last general manager of Holland-America Line before it was sold to Carnival Corporation & plc in Seattle. His grandfather Jonkheer Johan Reuchlin and his great grandfather Jonkheer Otto Reuchlin (1842-1924) were also directors of the Holland America Line.

Reuchlin studied in Utrecht Jura and worked in various management consultancies. He later made his own and became one of the first Dutch interim manager ; u. a. he was general director of one of the largest exhibition and event companies in the Netherlands, Ahoy in Rotterdam.

He has been working as a freelance writer since retiring from the profession. Reuchlin is considered a wine connoisseur and wine lover. He holds lectures on the subject of "wine", organizes wine tastings and wine tours. Today (as of 2011) he lives in Germany near the Dutch border. Reuchlin holds several honorary posts, advises people free of charge on legal problems and is active in several associations.
