George Roland
George Roland (* 1882 in the Russian Empire ; † in the 20th century) was a film director , film producer and film editor .
Life
Roland was involved in several productions of Yiddish film in the United States of America in various functions in the 1930s .
At the United States Census 1940 he lived in Central Park West , New York with his wife Jean (* 1894 in Poland) and his two daughters Molly (* 1934 in New York) and Adeline (* 1939 in New York).
In 1950 he was responsible for the English subtitles of two Yiddish-language films: Joe Bernes Catskill Honeymoon and the revival of Sidney M. Goldin's Zein Weib's Lubovnick / His Wife's Lover .
