George Sweigert
George Harry Sweigert (born February 2, 1920 in Akron , † February 23, 1999 in Fort Wayne ) was an American inventor.
Sweigert served as a radio operator in World War II . He is considered to be the inventor of the cordless telephone , for which he received a patent in 1969 , and was a licensed radio amateur with the callsign N9LC.
