Georges Bridel (politician)

Georges Bridel (born July 9, 1889 in Lausanne , † January 17, 1978 ibid) was a Swiss politician ( Liberal Party ), officer and sports official .

Bridel was a grandson of Georges-Victor Bridel . Bridel was an instruction officer in Lausanne from 1916 to 1929. From 1936 he was a colonel in the infantry. From 1930 to 1957 he was a liberal member of the Lausanne city government. From 1933 to 1962 he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud and from 1947 to 1951 National Council . Bridel was also President of the Lausanne Sports Football Club and a member of Zofingia .
