Georges Girardot
Georges Marie Julien Girardot (born August 4, 1856 in Besançon , † April 21, 1914 in Paris ) was a French genre, nude and landscape painter.
Girardot was a student of Albert Maignan (1845-1908).
He mostly painted symbolic genre pictures, female nudes and landscapes in bright, impressionistic colors.
From 1882 he showed his works in the salon of the Société des Artistes Français and was awarded in 1893 ("The Hunt"), 1896 ("Sermon and Miracles of St. Maximin") and 1907 ("Exodus of the Gods").
