Georges Moens de Fernig

Georges Florent Marie Auguste Moens de Fernig (born August 28, 1899 in Liège , † August 16, 1978 in Zelem ) was a Belgian minister and manager.

Moens de Fernig attended the French Lyceum in Rome and later a school in London before studying in Brussels . He belonged to various cabinets of Paul-Henri Spaak as a non-party member. Moens de Fernig served as Minister of Supply in the Spaak II cabinet from March 13 to March 31, 1946. From March 20, 1947 to November 27, 1948 he was Minister of Supply and Imports in the Spaak III cabinet. As Minister of Foreign Trade, he served in the Spaak IV cabinet from November 27, 1948 to August 11, 1949.

In 1951 he was appointed General Commissioner for the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels .

From 1950 to 1973 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Delhaize Group .
