Georgi Mamalew , also Georgi Mamalev , Bulgarian Георги Анастасов Мамалев (born August 5, 1952 in Marmachevo , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian actor and comedian.

Life

In 1977 Georgi Mamalew graduated from the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts in Sofia. Since then he has played at the Ivan Wassow National Theater in Sofia . His participation in a large number of well-known films in Bulgarian cinema and television helped him to become even better known, for example in his roles as "Goscho" in Orchester ohneName (Bulgar. Оркестър без име) in 1982, as Prince Alfonso in The 13th Fiancee of the Prince (bulg. 13 ата годеница на принца) 1987 when Stefan Stambolov in records of the Bulgarian revolts (bulg. Записки по българските въстания) 1976 and Captain Mortimer in last wishes (bulg. Последни желания) 1983. Together with Pawel Popandow and Welko Kanew Mamalew founded the well-known cabaret group "NLO" (Bulgarian for "UFO"), from which later the television series Club NLO (Bulgarian Клуб НЛО) emerged. Mamalew has also proven his comedic talent since 2002 in his solo caberet program “Do you understand me correctly?” (Bulgarian Разбираш ли ме правилно?), With which he also successfully performed in the USA, Great Britain, Germany and Poland.
