Georgi Penev Nikolov (also written Georgi Penev Nikolov , Bulgarian Георги Пенев Николов ; born April 11, 1977 in Varna , Bulgaria ) is a former Bulgarian handball player . His body length is 1.85 m.

Nikolow, who last played for the German club Eintracht Hildesheim (shirt number 5) and played for the Bulgarian national handball team, could be used in many ways in the backcourt , at Hildesheim he mostly played in the right backcourt. In addition, Nikolow trained the male B-youth from Eintracht Hildesheim, who plays in the Lower Saxony Oberliga.

Georgi Nikolov started playing handball in his hometown. He made his debut in the Bulgarian first division for Lokomotiv Varna. With Varna he won the Bulgarian Championship in 2000 and 2001 and the Bulgarian Cup in 1998 and 2000. In 2001 Nikolow was signed by the German Eintracht Hildesheim, which had just been relegated from the first handball league . In 2006 he rose again to the top German league with Eintracht, but in 2007 he was also down again. After the 2015/16 season, he ended his career. Nikolow later became an assistant trainer at Eintracht Hildesheim. For the 2019/20 season he will take over the upper division club SG Börde Handball.

Georgi Nikolow completed at least 60 international matches for his home country. With Bulgaria he never took part in a major international tournament.
