Georgian Triangle

Georgian Triangle is the name of a region in southern Ontario . It includes the counties around Georgian Bay and Nottawasaga Bay . The largest city in the region is Collingwood . The larger neighbors Owen Sound and Barrie are nearby . Recreation and tourism are the most important sources of income.

The area is a sub-region of Southwestern Ontario in the west and Central Ontario in the eastern half. The Georgian Triangle is part of the " cotton state " (cotton country) in Ontario.

Dufferin County and Muskoka are only sometimes included in the region.
