geotechnik is the only German-language specialist journal in the field of geotechnics that has been published since 1978 as an organ of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Geotechnik eV (DGGT) and is published by Ernst & Sohn. The magazine geotechnik the areas covered soil mechanics , earthworks and foundation engineering , rock mechanics , engineering geology , geosynthetics and environmental geotechnics from. The essay manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts (peer reviewed journal); it is listed in Scopus by Elsevier . The Editorial Board, headed by Christos Vrettos, includes: Karsten Beckhaus ( Bauer Spezialtiefbau, Schrobenhausen ), Jürgen Grabe ( TU Hamburg-Harburg ), Achim Hettler (until October 2018: TU Dortmund ) and Thomas Richter (GuD Consult GmbH, Berlin). Managing Editor of geotechnik is Helmut Richter.
