Gerald Fratt

Gerald Fratt (* 1953 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian musician and cabaret artist .

Life

Gerald Fratt attended elementary school and grammar school in Klagenfurt and passed the Matura in 1971 . He studied music education in Salzburg at the Mozarteum and passed the teaching examination in 1976. Since 1977 Fratt has been teaching music education and computer practice at the Bundesrealgymnasium in Salzburg as an AHS teacher: activities in school development, staff representation and trade union.

Artistic activities

Fratt has made guest appearances in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and has appeared in recordings for radio and TV. 1982 received the Salzburg bull together with Christian Schacherreiter .

The Salzburg Literature Forum says about the collaboration with Christian Wallner in the MotzArt cabaret. "... Your main focus of work has been the demanding cabaret song from the beginning. Your intellectual fathers were Frank Wedekind, Bert Brecht, Erich Kästner and Georg Kreisler . Fratt & Schacherreiter wrote and played 7 cabaret programs together between 1977 and 1993, of which radio, TV and LP recordings were made ... "
