Gerald Koll

Gerald Koll (born May 29, 1966 in Kiel ) is a German cultural journalist , author and filmmaker.

Life

Koll received his doctorate in 1995 after studying the literature on the subject of eroticism in the silent film , especially the role of eroticism in the silent films of Georg Wilhelm Pabst . Since 1989 he has published in newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias and books. In addition, free texts were created. Since 2000, documentaries have been made for Arte and 3sat , initially mostly related to film history. In 2008 he made his cinema debut with 88 pilgrims in Japanese , and in 2011 the book henro boke - pilgrims in Japanese was published . - His experimental documentary Ein Metjen habenens Preetzen from 2014 is about the last burning of witches in Kiel.

Koll lives in Berlin.
