Karl Heinz Hansen

Karl Heinz Hansen (actually Karlheinz) (born March 21, 1928 in Elberfeld , † December 18, 1970 in Sankt Augustin - Menden ) was a German chemist ( theoretical chemistry ). He was a professor at the University of Bonn .

Hansen obtained his diploma as a chemist in 1954 with Hermann Hartmann at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and received his doctorate in 1956 in Frankfurt. He then worked there as an assistant and completed his habilitation in physical chemistry in 1964. In 1967 he became a full professor for theoretical chemistry in Bonn.

He dealt with the symmetries of molecules .
