Gerald Meyer
Gerald Meyer (* 1964 in Havelberg ) is a German television presenter and journalist .
Life
Meyer grew up in Havelberg ( Magdeburg district ) before moving to East Berlin with his family in 1977 .
He began his television career during the fall of the Berlin Wall as an editor and reporter for the popular youth magazine Elf 99 on GDR television . Meyer became a TV presenter with the Disput format in 1990 when he stepped in for a colleague at short notice. He moderated the DFF lunchtime journal until the DFF was discontinued at the end of 1991. After that, Meyer was on the screen with the regional show from the then state broadcaster Brandenburg . When this went up in the ORB (today's rbb television), he became the presenter of the main news program Brandenburg aktuell there in 1992 . He also reported on major events and moderated knowledge formats such as Klartext-Wirtschaft on ORB television .
From 2003 to 2016 Gerald Meyer was the moderator of the magazine WAS! - Economy, work, saving on rbb television . He continues to present Brandenburg aktuell from Potsdam . Gerald Meyer has been moderating the detective magazine Kripo live on MDR television since the beginning of 2020 .
