Gerald Plato
Gerald Plato was a German composer of light music , who worked in the 1930s to 1950s.
Life
His slow waltz Melodia - Do you hear my secret calling? - which was composed on the basis of a text by Erich Stöcklein became internationally known . . The piece was recorded in 1939 by Michael Jary , Kurt Widmann , Rudi Schuricke and Herbert Ernst Groh , among others . Later performers were Helmut Zacharias (1954), Bruce Low (1961), Will Glahé (1966), John Woodhouse (1967), Klaus Wunderlich (1968), Willy Schneider (1974) and Heino (2004). In France it was called Entend-tu la vie troublante? known.
In addition, Gerald Plato wrote other compositions with Erich Stöcklein, which were initially published by Paul Linckes Apollo-Verlag Berlin and re-published in the 1980s by Astra-Musikverlag in Leipzig .
