Distances to places on Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road from Geraldton

The highway begins in the eastern Utakarra suburb of Geraldton on the country's west coast. Past the city's airport, it moves east-northeast over the hilly Moresby Ranges to the agricultural town of Mullewa . Via Yalgoo , where there is a refueling facility, it leads in an almost straight line to the Great Northern Highway, which it meets and ends on the southern outskirts of Mount Magnet.

Road condition and importance

The road designated as State Road 123 (S123) has two lanes over its entire length. It is an important route for the heavy mining and silo trucks that carry mining products and grain to the port and mining equipment on Mount Magnet.
