Gerardus Leonardus Blasius
Gerardus Leonardus Blasius (also Gerhard Blasius , * 1625 in Oostvliet near Cadzand , † 1682 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch physician and anatomist.
Life
Gerardus Blasius studied medicine at the University of Leiden and worked as a doctor in Amsterdam from around 1655. From 1660 he was professor of medicine at the Athenaeum Illustre Amsterdam .
On August 7, 1682, Gerhard Blasius with the academic surname Podalirius II was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 103 ) in the Leopoldina .
