Gerd-Peter Wolf

Gerd-Peter Wolf (born November 16, 1951 in Essen ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .

Life

After attending elementary school and high school (Leibnizschule Essen-Altenessen) with the Abitur , he was initially a regular soldier , most recently a lieutenant in the reserve, and from 1974 completed training for civil servants in the higher non-technical service (Dipl. Verwaltungswirt). Until 1985 he was a civil servant at the city administration of Essen (most recently as head of the office of the building department and managing director of the building committee). After leaving the state parliament in June 2000, he was a senior employee in the housing development agency of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the NRW.Bank until April 2017 .

Wolf joined the SPD in 1969. For many years he was a member of the Essen sub- district executive board and the Lower Rhine sub- regional executive board . He is a member of the Verdi union and the workers' welfare organization .

From May 30, 1985 to June 1, 2000, Wolf was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in the Essen III constituency.

From 1989 to 2000 Wolf was chairman of the supervisory board of Bauhütte Zollverein, then until 2009 deputy chairman of the Zollverein Foundation . He was a member of the administrative board of Essener Verkehrs-AG until 1999, he was also chairman of the administrative board of the Rhein-Ruhr urban railway company until 1999 and of the administrative board of the NRW housing development agency until 2000.

Wolf was long-time chairman of the Altenessener Turnverein 1886 eV, for six years (until 2002) chairman of the Essener Sportbund eV and 10 years chairman of the roller and ice sports club Gruga Essen eV
