Nikolaus Petrilovich
Nikolaus Petrilowitsch (born October 30, 1924 in Heideschütz , Banat , † July 29, 1970 in Mainz ) was a German psychiatrist .
Life
In 1957 Petrilowitsch completed his habilitation with Heinrich Kranz in Mainz, and from 1964 to 1970 he was an adjunct professor and senior physician in Mainz. He died as a result of an attack by a patient.
Services
Petrilowitsch undertook and established a holistic psychological approach together with Werner Janzarik . This comes close to comprehensive psychological, if not anthropological, concepts. It is to be assessed as a supplement to Karl Jaspers' approach to psychopathology, which was valid until then and was based on experience qualities. Petrilowitsch developed this approach for abnormal personalities, Janzarik for endogenous psychoses.
