Werner Janzarik

Werner Janzarik (born May 3, 1920 in Zweibrücken ; † April 3, 2019 ) was a German psychiatrist and university professor .

Life

In 1959 he completed his habilitation on the subject of dynamic basic constellations in endogenous psychoses . From 1951 to 1974 he worked as a senior physician and head of the forensic section of the University of Mainz . From 1974 to 1988 he was the successor to Walter Ritter von Baeyer, director of the Psychiatric University Clinic in Heidelberg . He was also the editor of the journal Der Nervenarzt from 1977 to 1990 .

Werner Janzarik was accepted as a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in the Neuroscience Section in 1980 .
