Rudolf Degkwitz (junior)

Rudolf Degkwitz (born June 20, 1920 in Munich ; † September 18, 1990 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German psychiatrist, from 1960 to 1987 director of the Psychiatric University Clinic in Freiburg and from 1968 full professor at the University of Freiburg. His u. a. The short textbook on psychiatry published by him takes account of the reform efforts in psychiatry since 1960.

During the time of National Socialism he was involved in the resistance of the White Rose Hamburg and from December 1943 to May 1945 he was imprisoned in the Fuhlsbüttel police prison.

He was the son of Rudolf Degkwitz (senior) and the brother of Hermann Degkwitz .
