Gerd Brockmann

Gerd Brockmann (* 23 January 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German politician of the SPD and administrative officer . He was mayor of Wedel from 1993 to 1999 .

Life

Brockmann studied after high school economics and a doctorate in this subject. From 1981 to 1989 he worked in Wolfsburg's city ​​administration as a financial adviser, managing director of a municipal limited liability company and head of the office for urban development planning, then he worked as an alderman and city treasurer in the city of Sankt Augustin , before becoming mayor of the city in June 1993 Wedel was. Brockmann said in retrospect in 2006 that his chair had been sawed in Wedel from day one. After his six-year term in office, he was defeated in the 1999 election by the non-party candidate Diethart Kahlert .

Brockmann then worked as a management consultant, first living in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg , then in Buxtehude . In 2006 he took part in the district elections in the Rotenburg district and lost to the CDU candidate Hermann Luttmann.
