Gerd Gnewuch

Gerd Gnewuch (born October 19, 1934 in Berlin ) is a former German postal clerk , postal historian, philatelist and regional historian .

Life

Gerd Gnewuch worked in the State Post Office in Berlin from 1955 to 1977 . From 1977 to 1995 he worked at the Federal Ministry for Post and Telecommunications in Bonn , where he was advertising manager for philately from 1984 to 1995.

Gnewuch was from 1960 to 1985 board member of the State Historical Association for Berlin and the Mark Brandenburg and from 1989 to 1998 he was managing director of the Foundation for the Promotion of Philately and Postal History. From 1994 to 1998 he was a board member of the German Society for Post and Telecommunications History. He wrote u. a. Article for the Spandauer Volksblatt, for the yearbook for Brandenburg regional history, for the Deutsche Bundespost , for the postal practice, for the Deutsche Briefmarkenrevue, for the Bundesdruckerei , for the magazine Philatelie, for Südwest aktuell, for the Berlin forum and for the archive for the German postal history.
