Gerd Groezinger

Gerd Grözinger (* 1953 ) is a German economist and sociologist .

Life

Gerd Grözinger studied sociology at the TU Darmstadt . In 1982 he completed his studies with a master's degree in sociology. He then worked as a research assistant in the field of economics at the TU Darmstadt. He received his doctorate in economics in 1989 with the thesis “Competitive prices and labor values. An input-output model for the Federal Republic of Germany ”in Darmstadt. From 1990 to 1993 he was director of studies at the Evangelical Academy in Bad Boll . In 1993 he moved to the International Institute for Management at the European University of Flensburg , where he completed his habilitation in economics in 1999. In 1999 he was visiting professor for sociology at the Philipps University of Marburg . He then returned to the European University of Flensburg, where, among other things, he headed the Center for Educational Research and the Collegium Mare Balticum for postgraduate training. Since 2009 he has been teaching and researching at the International Institute for Management as a professor for social and educational economics. Gerd Grözinger has also been chairman of the Political Economy Working Group , an association of heterodox economists, for many years .
