Wenceslaus Matiaske

Wenzel Matiaske (born July 3, 1958 in Iserlohn ) is a German social and economic scientist and professor of business administration .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Matiaske studied sociology , political science and economics at the Philipps University of Marburg from 1980 to 1984 , graduating as a sociologist. From 1985 to 1986 he studied administrative science at the University of Administrative Sciences Speyer with a Mag. Rer degree. publ. (Master of Administration Science). After working as an assistant in Paderborn, Mainz and Berlin and after doing his doctorate (1991 Paderborn) and habilitation (1999 Berlin), he was appointed to a professorship for general business administration, especially human resources and organization, at the University of Flensburg in 2000 . Since 2008 he has been a professor of business administration, especially leadership and labor relations, at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg .

Matiaske is a permanent lecturer at the Inter University Center in Dubrovnik and co-editor of Industrial Relations and Management Revue .

As a research fellow, he cooperates with the socio-economic panel at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW).
