Industrial Relations - Journal for Work, Organization and Management (English: The German Journal of Industrial Relations ) is an interdisciplinary scientific journal .
The magazine appears (quarterly): from 1994 to 2016 by Rainer Hampp Verlag in Mering, since 2017 by Verlag Barbara Budrich in Leverkusen-Opladen. The articles (qualitative, quantitative, theoretical) are subject to peer review .
Which were established industrial relations by David Marsden , Walther Müller-Jentsch , Dieter Sadowski , Jörg Sydow , Franz Traxler and Hansjörg Weitbrecht . Subsequent editors were Dorothea Alewell , Ingrid Artus , Berndt Keller and Britta Rehder .
Current editors are Martin Behrens , Wenzel Matiaske , Werner Nienhüser , Susanne Pernicka , Sophie Rosenbohm and Carsten Wirth .
In an advertisement from the former Rainer Hampp Verlag, the subject area of the magazine was described as follows:
- “Industrial relationships are those networks, institutions and systems in which the various actors in the world of work are integrated and with which they actually shape and normatively regulate their economic exchange relationships and social conflict relationships. Today it is no longer sufficient to describe these actors with the traditional dichotomous model of capital and labor; Their manifold differentiation into roles, coalitions and organizations as well as their increasing interdependence make more complex analysis concepts necessary. To mark its 20th anniversary, a special issue (Issue 4, volume 20/2013) was published with balancing articles on the range of topics covered by the magazine.
