Jörg Sydow

Jörg Sydow (born March 10, 1955 ) is a German economist and professor at the Free University of Berlin .

Life

Sydow studied business administration and management science at the Free University of Berlin and at Imperial College London . His doctorate and habilitation also took place at the Free University of Berlin . From 1991 to 1995 he was a professor of business administration with a focus on planning and organization at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . Since 1995, Sydow has been a professor for general business administration, in particular corporate cooperation, at the Free University of Berlin. In 1996, he turned down a call to the Vienna University of Economics and Business .

Sydow has held several guest professorships: Vienna University of Economics and Business (WS 1996/97), University of Innsbruck (WS 1999/00), University of Arizona (WS 2004/05), University of New South Wales (WS 2009/10) and several times at the University of Strathclyde (since 2008).

The Handelsblatt counts Sydow among the best business economists in the German-speaking area.
